Details of the proposed contributions under the Development Contribution Scheme made by the City Council for its administrative area are as follows:

| Class 5 Urban regeneration facilities and amenities | 1,371 | 14 |
| Total of Contributions Payable | €13,908 | €132 |
The above are the revised figures and will become effective from 1st January 2008 and will apply to all decisions on planning applications from that date. The Scheme will apply to all development subject to certain exemptions.
Please also note that if the development falls into the catchments area for the Supplementary scheme 'Metro North' , an additional contribution will be added.
The legal basis for the 'Metro North' contribution scheme is set out in section 49 of the planning and Development Act 2000
The 2008 rates are €2,667.00 per residential unit & €23.47 per square metre of commercial/industrial space
